Description:

Model C Parlor Grand piano in rosewood art case. Serial number 14321 which would indicate a 1866 manufacture date. 85 keys, measures 7'2" in length and 55" in width. Condition of the piano is very good to excellent. Total restoration in 1986 by Lexingtonian Clair Davies who was a superb piano technician that had previously worked for Steinway in New York. Included in the work was a total rebuild of the piano and a refinishing of the case. We have his invoice which lists specifically the work performed and can gladly email that to you. That was 33 years ago. 8 years ago, the piano was evaluated and appraised and condition-wise was rated very strongly and was appraised at $40,000-$65,000. We can gladly send that to you as well. We urge you to come take a look at this historical beauty. Sit down on the bench and play some tunes so that you can hear what a beautiful piano is supposed to sound like. An heirloom that will stay in the family for generations to come. 8/30/19: The piano has been moved to the venue and everything looks good. New pictures for you to look at as well. Surprising to me was the condition of the sounding board and a picture of it has been included. Looks perfect, as do the hammers, pins, felts and strings. The technician that was part of the crew who moved it made the comment that it looked like it has not been played since the rebuild and he might be right. Come take a look. If you cannot make it on the preview, we will gladly host you when you can come. I might add that the bench you see in a few photos does come with the piano but does not match the piano in age.
