Are you a book binder? I sincerely hope so as all of these books need your attention. A nice collection of antiquarian books and all in English but all need some TLC as they are not in good shape. Titles are: "Five Discourses On So Many Very Important Points of Practical Religion", John Kettlwell, 1696. Leather covers off and spine almost gone. Inscribed on the inside of the back cover by Grace Smith that was given the book by a Rector in 1758. "Self Knowledge: A Treatise Showing the Nature and Benefits of that Important Science" by John Mason, 1822. No front cover and spine almost gone. "The Spectator" No. 119, dated 1765, No front or back covers, spine is there though. "History of the War of the Independence of the United States of America, Vol. II", by Charles Botta and dated 1840. Leather front cover is there but off, back cover intact along with spine. "Elia, Second Series" by Charles Lamb (in pencil on the first page is written "1st pub Ed 1823". Front cover is there but off, back cover is good and spine is missing upper 2". "The Statues at Large Being a Collection of all the Laws of Virginia, Vol XII" by William Waller Hening, 1823. Front cover off but there, No back cover and spine there but unreadable (see photo). On the title page is written "From the First Session of the Legislature in the year 1619". The next book is a series of plays and scripts from Shakespeare. Cannot find a title nor date, but it covers the plays "Much Ado About Nothing", "Love's Labour Lost", "Midsummer Night's Dream", "Merchant of Venice", and lastly "As You Like It". Both front and back covers are there but off- spine there but unreadable. "Reflections on the Works of God for Everyday of the Year" by Charles Sturm, 1805. Front and back cover off but there. Spine is there and readable. Two identical volumes of "The Poetical Works of John Gay" Both Vol. II. Front covers missing. both have back covers and one is affixed, the other off. Spines are not there as well on both books. Date unknown. A small little book with no covers or spine titled "Paradise Regained" by John Milton, 1823. Lastly, a book titled "Heir of Drumcondra or Family Pride" by Mary Julia Young and dated 1810. Vol. 1. Front cover off but there, No back cover and spine is there but unreadable.

Pickup of items won will be held on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10 at the venue located at 224 Moundale, Wnchester, Ky. 40391 by appointment only. To make an appointment, please call Dave Diederich at 859 745 2900.. If you have not paid online, then payment can be made at pickup. Please bring your own packaging and additional help if needed for loading items. All removals must be completed in a professional and tidy manner. Not responsible for accidents. For your safety, we will only allow one bidder (plus their help) to pick up to minimize the number of people in the building at any one time.

Given our need to empty the venue in a timely manner, we ask that all items be removed at the pickup dates listed or shortly thereafter if you have a conflict with the dates. Any lots that are not picked up within 30 calendar days of the auction will be sold in a future auction and the sales price minus our commission will be paid to the owner.

For those buyers who wish to have their merchandise sent or who are out of the area and will not pick the items up, shipping arrangements can be made through the buyer's own shipper as Caswell Prewitt Realty does not provide in-house packing or shipping. All packing and shipping of merchandise will be at the risk and expense of the buyer. A list of shippers that have been used by past customers is below:
